Dear friends:
Thank you so much for your patience as we work on a plan for returning to in-person worship indoors. We continue to work on updating our audio-visual system to be more versatile (a huge thanks to Peter Rowand and Bruce Winter for their hard work on this project). However, I also reached out to the Bishop's office for assistance with getting our indoor gathering up and running sooner rather than later. A huge thank you to the Bishop's office for assisting with a plan to have other clergy not currently working full-time positions to provide assistance with leading in-person indoor worship at St. George's. There are some clergy who have generously agreed to do so - they are clergy who are experienced but not working full-time and who don't have kids in school and are therefore able to maintain smaller contact bubbles to help us be as safe as possible. We'll be meeting again with the Bishop's office for further planning this coming week and hope to get indoor worship started soon. A number of folks have expressed concern that since they don't feel comfortable attending indoor gatherings they won't be able to participate, but be assured that we will be continuing to offer Zoom options as well. More to come soon!
