Prayer Shawls

In the midst of this pandemic many things have changed. One that has not substantially changed is the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Our knitters meet regularly through Zoom meetings and continue to pray as they knit shawls. Since March there has been a fairly good stock of shawls just waiting for their new homes. These are clean, blessed, and ready to be given.

In this new reality in which we live, it may be more important than ever for someone to receive a prayer shawl. While the usual stressors of life events continue, many are magnified by the overlay of COVID-19 concerns, restrictions and anxiety. What better time to bring forward the name of someone who would benefit from having a kind of tangible 'hug' and the comfort that a Prayer Shawl can bring?
