Victoria Women’s Transition House Society (one of our outreach partners) is continuing to work to provide community education and awareness in the community of Oak Bay over the important and often hidden issue of Older Adult Abuse; with the current COVID-19 pandemic restrictions that has been very limited. Therefore, we have put our Older Adult Abuse presentation on to video format and would like to offer it for free to you and your staff, parishioners and community members. This video is 23 minutes long and covers topics like root causes of abuse, signs and types of abuse, statistical information, and finally a list of community supports for older adults (especially around financial abuse, one of the most common forms).
