A note from the Shelbourne Community Kitchen:
Thanks to everyone's incredible support - we did it!! This fall, an anonymous donor challenged The Kitchen to raise $50,000 between October and November. If we could reach our goal, they would turn it into $100,000. We received hundreds of generous donations from community members, including $10,000 from the Axel & Wendy Foght Fund through Victoria Foundation. On November 16th, we reached our goal! Wow!
Our small team is overwhelmed and so encouraged by everyone's generous support. When Program Director, Kim Cummins, called our anonymous matching donor to share the good news, they were so encouraged by the community's response, they decided to extend their matching offer for our upcoming benefit concerts! Can you believe that?!
We are literally jumping for joy about the positive impact this will have for the 1,000+ people we serve and the growing need in our community.
We want to send our deepest thanks to our amazing anonymous donor and to each and everyone who has given so generously to our campaign. Our upcoming benefit concerts will be the last opportunity to have donations matched, and they will also be a wonderful opportunity for come together as a community and celebrate.
Come join us on December 11th. Let's party!!"
