The Quiet Space Garden
“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” -Mark 6:31
The primary vision of The Quiet Garden Movement is to initiate and resource a network of local opportunities for prayer, silence, reflection and the appreciation of beauty; for learning about Christian spirituality; and for experiencing creativity and healing in the context of God’s love. Individuals generously make their gardens available for others to enjoy, and everyone is welcome. The Quiet Space Garden is offered on the last Saturday of every month, between 9:30am and 12:30pm, at the home of Elizabeth Eede. Elizabeth’s home is registered with the Quiet Garden Trust of England, a non-profit organization that supports the ministry. You can learn more about The Quiet Garden Movement and the Trust by visiting: www.quietgarden.org.
Please confirm your visit with Elizabeth Eede before attending.
She can be reached at 250-477-6577 or via email.
On the first and third Thursdays of each month, members of the prayer shawl team gather to pray, to knit and to share. Together, they combine the gifts of their hearts and their hands into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Their love and their prayers are woven into the very fabric of the shawls that they create. Once completed, the shawls are passed around the gathered knitting circle for prayers of blessing and then brought to church and presented as gifts at the altar for a final blessing before being sent on their way. All are welcome to attend and knit.
